Kingston James is of Old English origin, Kingston meaning "from the King's town", James meaning "to supplant or replace" and is also a variant of Jacob, one of the 12 apostles. McGregor is of Scottish origin, meaning "son of a shepherd".
Both parents are reportedly Bob Marley fans - Kingston is the capital of the reggae legend's birthplace, Jamaica.
